Intercessor prayer alert - Terrorist threat

While its true that Intercessors UK has changed its focus to concentrate on the UK Church, we would also like to find room to pray for protection over innocent lives.  We feel there is still very much a terrorist threat to the UK, not just from foreign terrorists, but home-grown ones too.

This is not an out-dated prayer request. The Woolwich incident proved that recently and in Feb 2013, three young Muslims were found guilty of plotting to bomb railway stations and shopping centres.

We really need to pray:

• Servicemen and emergency services
• protection over our airports
• protection for shopping centres in the UK
• wisdom and divine insight for the police
• that those plotting would turn to Christ
• protection over train stations
• any venue which attracts large crowds (eg: football stadiums)
• Our coastlines
• pray against further Muslim radicalisation in the UK
