Fasting Days 2009

Printer friendly page

Fasting days are days (24 hrs from midnight to midnight) when we take no food. Water is permitted.

This is a time of listening to God and, if appropriate, feeding back to other intercessors what insight you have gained (in the Intercessors Sharing Room.)

The fasting is a way of humbling oneself before God and gaining sharper insight into what God wants you to pray about.

The focus of these fasting days is mainly to ask God to have mercy on the UK Church; that it would fully wake up and begin to repent, be holy and seek God in a very serious way so that society would see Jesus in us.

We also are praying for intercessors to be freed up so they can take their vital positions in the prayer battle.

You should not fast if you have serious blood sugar issues or other medical conditions which might be provoked by fasting.
It is recommended that you stay away from too much caffeine and white sugar as fasting can bring on withdrawl symptoms during the day. Cut out these a few days before you fast and it will be better for you.

How to fast safely.
